Cedric Diggory vs. Edward Cullen

There must be some sort of casting god in charge of handing out all the plum roles, and we're guessing he's smiling down on Robert Pattinson. How else do you explain the fact that he's played major roles in two highly anticipated films based on two phenomenal books?

Let's do a comparison between Harry Potter's Cedric Diggory and Twilight's Edward Cullen:

1) Described in the novels as extremely handsome? CHECK!

2) The ability to intimidate other dudes? CHECK!

3) Awesome action scenes? CHECK!

4) Incredibly heroic deeds? CHECK!

The Diggory following has waved over time, but Cullen fever swept the nation just last year, prompting both worshipers of the book series and curious moviegoers to flock to the cinemas to witness the enthralling saga of Bella and Edward. At this moment, Robert is probably basking in his much-deserved glory, and we bet that casting god is patting himself on the job well done.

Jonas Brothers: Living The Dream

Through their preceding songs reaped considerable attention, it was ultimately the sweet teen anthem "When You Look Me in the Eyes" that catapulted Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonas to fame. The music video for this track was aired on the Disney Channel Asia April last year, showing black-and-white footage of teen girls going wild over the brothers, and inevitably getting us hooked too. With their catchy tunes, good looks, great style, acting chops, and clean living, the JoBros are definitely dominating the music and TV world.

So what kind of girl does it take to make these pop sensations fall in love?

The boys spill, "Someone we can talk to on the phone who'll be okay even if we're not always there, someone who likes to have fun, someone who walks into a room and greet everyone, and someone who's really good to our mom!"

Well boys wait until you have a tour here in the Philippines. You'll never predict what would the teenage girls react! You better watch out! Haha! :P

dakota fanning has rumored to star in twilght as Jane

Meanwhile, Dakota Fanning addresses the New Moon rumors.

“I think it’s too soon to tell if I’ll for sure be doing it, but it’s so great,” she told Access Hollywood on Saturday at the junket for her latest film, “Push.” “I’m a really big fan of that series and the first film and all the actors in it, so it would be wonderful.”
E! Online’s Marc Malkin reported on Thursday that Dakota was currently negotiating for the role of Jane, a member of the deadly Volturi vampires from Italy, where much of “New Moon” takes place.
Following Malkin’s report, a rep for Summit Entertainment confirmed to Access there had been talks with the actress.
“We are considering all actors that have the unique requirements for the look of Jane — Dakota being one of them,” a rep for Summit told Access.
If she does get the part, Dakota said she won’t have to spend too much time in the makeup chair.
“I don’t think they’ll have to put a lot of makeup on me,” she joked. “I’m pretty white already.”
And the 14-year-old actress added that doing the film would give her a boost with her “Twilighter” pals.
“Pretty much all my friends are pretty big fans, so it would be great,” she said.

she's a nice kid and good for her. She's good to act as jane:)

jobros wants to be a part for the new moon soundtrack

According to MTV the Jonas Brothers would love to be on the New Moon soundtrack.

BEVERLY HILLS, California — If there’s one man out there who can get a group of women to shriek as loud as the Jonas Brothers can, it’s Robert Pattinson. If there’s one film that could draw in a fanbase as rabid as “Twilight,” it might be this month’s “Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience.”

Now, the JoBros are hoping to join the two red-hot franchises together.

“The movie was obviously a huge success, and if they asked us to be a part of [the sequel], that would be great,” Nick Jonas said when we caught up with him and his brothers Monday, revealing that the trio are fans of Stephenie Meyer’s vampire franchise and would be willing to write a song for the “New Moon” soundtrack. “It would be really cool.”

“That would be really cool,” agreed Joe and Kevin.

Next month, Chris Weitz begins filming the sequel and will at some point start making his choices for a “New Moon” album. Whether the Grammy-nominated Jonas Brothers would write a “Twilight”-themed track remains unclear, but this much is certain: Before they can do much more “New Moon” campaigning, the chart-topping trio still need to actually sit down and watch “Twilight.”

“I haven’t seen it,” Joe admitted. “But I have heard it’s a great movie.”

“We’re looking forward to seeing it,” Nick added. “We’ve been a little busy, so it’s kinda hard to get the movies, but we’ll see it.”

“Typically, we’ll get the advance DVDs and watch them on plane rides or something,” Kevin said of the band’s attempts to keep up with Hollywood’s latest hits during their busy touring schedule. “So, hopefully, we’ll do that.”

sure that the boys would really want to be part though! Go Go GO!:)

australia bushfire

Many of you have probably heard about the catastrophic bushfires in Australia. Fansite Cullen Boys Anonymous has started a relief drive. Here’s a very moving letter they received from one of the members of their site:

Dear friends,

I am writing this today to explain the situation of the fires in Australia,
and the effect it has on the community, my friends, my family and my old
neighbors.

On the 7th of February 2009, Australia was shocked as we watched the news to
hear reports of towns burning down to nothing. After Marysville was burnt to
nothing, we thought the fires may have died down, but we were wrong. I
personally used to live in Kinglake/Flowerdale, and I thought that since
Marysville was pretty far away, that it wouldn’t reach where I used to live.
Silly me.

The fires continue to burn, even the army is helping to put out the fires!
Some people stayed to fight, only to perish in the feeble attempt to stop
Mother Nature. The ones that did survive, however, lost friends and
relatives and their community as they knew it. I moved from Flowerdale early
last year, due to schooling and such, but I frequently visited my friends. I can
visit no more.

One of my friends died in this fire, I loved her so much & she will be
missed dearly. That is but one of the 181 people found so far, and there
are definitely more to be found.

It is a struggle in Victoria. Many people can’t watch the news without
feeling greatly saddened and wanting to find a way to reach out and help the
people who have lost their homes, their families, and everything.

The easiest way to explain it is like this, fire is the eraser. The paper is the
land, and everything written on the paper is houses, people, everything
else. It’s like an eraser has gone and rubbed out everything, you know it
was there, you can see the faint marks where you pressed too hard and there
is some lead left on the paper, but other than that, it’s gone.

Australia is in crisis now. We are trying our hardest, but nothing will be
the same. This is our worst natural disaster to date. And to think, it only
started with a hot day.

People are now living in cars or on the street, due to these fires. It is
said that a possible 1 million animals died. That is very upsetting, as I
grew up with animals and they are a big part of my life.

We are doing our best to get these fires under control. It is not easy, but
little by little, I believe we will be able to build the towns back up to
their former glory, even though we know nothing will ever be the same.

The campaign established to assist the communities and the people affected
by the bushfires is the Australian Bushfire Appeal 2009. It was launched by
our premier John Brumby, the Red Cross & Australia’s federal government.

The bushfires have affected us greatly. It is only my hope and prayer that
we will be safe, and to try our damnedest to build our lives back again.
With the support of others, I believe we can.

Thank you for reading this.
-Mallory Cassidy (malliee)

Hopefully we can all do something! And we are all here to support your relief drive!
